The Last Mohawks

As part of my Master’s Thesis at Columbia Journalism School, I put together this photo essay about the decline of the Mohawk ironworking population in New York City. For five months I followed Mohawk ironworkers on their weekly routine, on construction sites around the city, on their six-hour drive home every week to Kahnawake, Quebec, and at home on the reservation with their families.
